I wasn’t going to post anything about myself but thought in time someone may be looking for me. I had and have many friends here on WC for many years. Stardock software and the people here have helped me enjoy many, many years and hours here. Help was always available from asking general questions to skinning.

I have been getting test done on my health for several months on my situation. Turns out I have stage 4 cancer that as spread to different parts of my body. I didn’t delay finding out what my health problem was but it’s a very aggressive cancer and didn’t have early warning signs.

I have several WindowBlinds completed or just about completed that have been done for months. To all the people that have enjoyed my work I want to share my last ones if possible. I will not be in here as I always was thanking everyone every day. Saying that I will check in when I can and I thank you all now from my heart the love I have for everyone.

I can’t tell you when my time will come. Could be a few months yet but only God has that answer. Hospice has me on meds that are helping pain management, coughing and allowing me to do things. Please also know There is a member here that when I do pass my Daughter will call and I asked this person to advise you all when my time has reached the end. I will only be leaving when I can no longer get my second leg out of bed. As long as I can get it out I have no give up and I will be up. I have totally accepted my situation and Jesus Christ has his arms open for me but not calling yet.

Haven't been able to get on my WC site for a long time but need to. I open Wincustomize and at the top click on DaveBax and Profile. I see the second image below. No where can I get on my Wincustomize site. Haven’t been able to get on it for a long time from this location. However if I made a comments on a skin or any forum page clicking on my name there would take me to my WC site. That no longer works. In fact clicking on my name on a Forum will take me to the same Profile page. Also clicking on Upload or Subscriber Skins does take me to those locations. Note: I have tried Chrome, Opera, and IE on win 7 and Explorer and the others Browsers on Win10. Also tried it with Ad Blocker on and totally off.

Search area on Startmenu. Many people including myself use a dark image in the SM search area to match a dark skin. There is a location in SKS that permits one to change the text color for normal but not when typing anything. This only works on win10. On win7 the text is always Black no matter what text color one changes it to. So is there any way that at least where it says "Search programs and files" the text color can be changed for win7? Last. Can anyone tell me why it changes on win10 and not 7. Is it a OS thing that nothing can be done for this situation? Thank you.

What does this mean every time I post a reply too any thread I'm going to receive email from Stardock? I'm very active on the forums and don't need regular emails telling me I posted. 

There has been only one recent comment that someone was having a problem getting WindowBlind skins to work on Hi resolution or 4k monitors. In SKS 10 there is a place to install  Hi Res images for every image in every section. The are places to install 6 images ranging from 125% to 250% scaling. So lets say one is in the Edit start menu section. So every image you have in that section would you place it in all 6 areas in the Build high dpi image section? Would you need different size images in each? Anything information Stardock could provide would be appreciated. 4k is coming so I would just as well make a correct WB now for hi res so it can be used in the future.

Remember Mindy43?  Sure you do as she has made many Winstep themes and other things. Mindy and I have been working together for quite a long time. I was just starting to teach her Photoshop when she disappeared. Last time I heard from her was early Dec. I believe. I did send a few emails with no reply and knew something had to be wrong. Well I just heard from here and you can read what I just received. A lot of typo errors I didn’t fix for a reason and when you read it you will see why. She was so brave to even write this in her condition. 

So let’s wish Mindy a speedy recovery.

Want to let you know I am getting better. Have 3 fingers an a thumb to type with now. Long story. Will tell you a bit at a time. Just got cast off left arm. Typing with left fingers. Hope to get cast off other arm in a few weeks. Broke most of my body but getting better. Miss talking and work with you. Will let you no when I can

My helper went to store. He doesn’t let me on computer.

I fell off ladder painting bathroom. Broke cheek, jaw, both wrists, four fingers, thumb, rids. Was in a home but at my house now. Hope that in a month will be almost better. I cant remember fall. Will write more soon. tired

I just lost a friend of over 30 years yesterday. He was only two years older than me. Lost my wife of 44 years a few years ago. It makes one wonder if you said and did everything you wanted to because when someone is gone there are no second changes to say or do anything that may be on your mind or exactly how you really do feel about the person if you haven’t already said or done it.

People tell me I’m not old. Nice to hear but when you are over 70 at least for me I believe that is old.

I’m in daily contact with some here on Wincustomize. But I have talked to so many people from WC here over my 8+ years being a member. Before I don’t have a chance it’s time to say this. Many have helped me to learn the ins and outs of Skin-studio to help me become a Skinner and continue to help when needed. There are so many, I’m not going to list names because I’m afraid I may miss a few and don’t want that to happen. Plus some have helped and I don't know their name. To sum it up if you need help and people here can help or advise, just ask and you will get it.

For all the people who I’m in contact with, have helped me, have downloaded and liked my skins, and who have just been here for me for any reason. I would like to thank all of you so very much.

For Stardock I thank you for the work you do and the great programs you make that have really helped me to keep busy, and make my computer look the way I like it to. To the Mods that keep the forums running smoothly, create post, etc. keep up the great work. It takes co-operation and good people to keep something going and this organization has that.

So not to worry as of now I’m feeling fine and not saying this because of any reason except I want you all to know how much I have appreciated this place. It's the family you never met but you know they are there.

My friend and our Community friend Tom is now married to his wonderful wife Maggie. Tom hasn't been on here very much lately but has been very busy with his new family life in general, and are also in the process of building a new home. To the both of you have a wonderful marriage and life. Remember when the tough times come they can also be worked out. We all miss you on here so get that home done and get back here. 

Hello Community. My Christmas WB for this year. Got an early start on this so it can uploaded early. Plan on doing that on Dec. 11th. The final screenshot will come when it's uploaded. If any one wishes to make anything for it you are all welcome with my permission. Also remember anyone that wishes to make anything for any of my WB's in the future you have my blanket permission. Hard to believe this time of the year is already here. Hope you enjoy this WB as I believe it came out very well and enjoyed making it.

Every Windowblind I open has the same Explorer background color. This just started last night. What I did was mess around with the Color section in
the latest version of windowblinds. I was trying other colors and at no time did I ever actually apply the change as I only looked at the screen shot view.
It's set to None and the sliders are either off or set to the left as it was before I tried other colors.

I switch my OS to Win8 where I didn't mess with windowblinds and all the windowblind skins work fine with the explorer background color. It's the
color it's supposed to be.

The color in the screen shot is the color all the WB's are. Doesn't matter if it's one I made or one someone else made.
